All grade 6-7 classes headed to Grouse Grind. Most of my classmates were so exited to climb the Grouse Grind (G.G.). It was my first time climbing the G.G and I was so exited to climb up the mountain. When we arrived we had to do a quick stretch warm up and attendance check. Once we started to climb the first few regular steps at the beginning were easy because they were carefuly made with cement but i felt tired and exhausted already on the very steep rocky terrain of the next steps of the path.
The Grouse Grind steps are so steep that I had to crawl or sometimes have to climb up the steps. We took a few photos of the trail of the rocky part and put that picture at the end of the page. We as in me FlameMonkey and a few other friends were walking together and we all took alot of pit stops because we were so tired because the trail was even harder than the trail before. When me and my walking buddy made it past a marker we would have a celebration rest!
When we finally reach the top, everybody who was finished befor us cheered! I finished the G.G climb in the time of two hours. Then we waited for every one else still climbing and I cheered for them too. Atop the mountain there were food huts and a bear viewing area and more. After that we done some of the things on top of the montain, we did a few class photos. Then we went in a line to get our gondola tickets, once we got there the whole class came to another long line up to get in the gondola. The gondola was so squashed and cramped with a bunch our class and other people in other classes and just more people who were visiting G.G. Then we headed for home!
